ALLNET AT MAKER FAIRE ROME: DISCOVER ITS EDUCATIONAL DIVISION

AllNet is committed to make electronics easy and accessible for everyone, regardless their background. Join one of the many workshop at Maker Faire Rome

ALLNET was founded in 1991 in Germering near Munich and is a multinational company specializing in telecommunications products with more than 19 branches around the world. It has more than 5 own brands and a portfolio of more than 100 manufacturers.

In 2015 ALLNET develops its own electronic learning system Brick´R´knowledge to support the knowledge transfer in schools and continuing education places. They launched the ALLKNOW Education division, aimed at the educational world and specializing in maker and STEAM products. From here they work hand in hand with teachers and children in workshops and training sessions in which they use tools that are changing education.

The most important brands in its catalogue are: 3Doodler, BeaverLab, Cubetto, Curiscope, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, HP Otto, Intelino, iRobot Education, Kubo Robotics, Makerzoid, MatataStudio, Merge Cube, micro:bit, Photon Education, Wonder Workshop, Ozobot…

More on Brick’R’knowledge

Developed by ALLNET, Brick’R’knowledge is a flexible and arbitrarily expandable electronic system designed to learn and teach, experiment, develop and program.  The special thing about our electronic sets is that the individual bricks are connected via a plug system. This way, you can quickly realize even complex circuits. Each brick includes two contacts containing ground.

The bricks can be mounted at different angles and have two contacts for voltage feedback, making it easy to build compact circuits. Furthermore, you can easily explain and document each circuit. Its open-source design allows anyone to contribute new ideas and improve the system. Brick’R’knowledge is ideally suitable for prototyping, and can be used in schools, vocational training, university studies and by do-it-yourself enthusiasts.

Each of the sets includes a detailed manual with helpful explanations about the bricks and with experiments in easy steps and with clear graphics and images. Brick’R’knowledge is a perfect tool for developing technical experiments, explaining educational concepts and encouraging innovation in electronic engineering.

ALLNET’s participation at Maker Faire Rome 2024

Once again, ALLNET is part of the Maker Faire as a Bronze level partner and will have a stand to show the most outstanding products of its educational catalogue. There you will be able to see projects, interact with the tools and solve all your doubts.

In addition, after last year’s success, they will once again offer different one-hour workshops for all those attending the fair. Here are the details:

Robotics with Robot Master: smart basket (Friday – 16:30)

In this workshop you will build a smart basket using the Robot Master kit from Makerzoid. Using snap-together parts and visual block programming you will learn how this fantastic robotics kit works. (You can buy the kit at our booth)

Developing STEAM projects with micro:bit (Friday – 10:30 / Saturday 13:00 / Sunday 11:45)

In this workshop, you will learn what robotics is, how it works and its current implications. In addition, you will be introduced to the world of programming through the micro:bit tool, a programmable board that integrates different sensors and actuators, which allows you to develop a multitude of projects that enables you to carry out comprehensive learning.

Art & Technology: 3D Pen (Friday – 11:45 / Saturday 10:30 / Sunday 13:00)

3D pens allow children and adults to bring each and every one of their ideas to life in 3D. It is true that handling them can be a bit difficult, so in this workshop we will give you a few tips so that you can use them correctly and continue to develop your creativity.

Discover the microscopic world (Friday – 13:00 / Saturday 11:45 / Sunday 10:30)

In this workshop you will learn how to create samples to use with a microscope. In this way you will discover the microscopic world and learn more about the world around you. In addition, you will learn how to use this instrument.

Robotics with ring:bit: controlled vehicle (Saturday – 16:30)

In this workshop you will build a controlled vehicle using the micro:bit board and the Elecfreaks ring:bit kit. Using snap-together parts and visual block programming you will learn how this fantastic robotics kit works. (You can buy the kit at our booth)

Robotics with Smart Robot: smart container (Sunday – 16:30)

In this workshop you will build a smart container using the Smart Robot kit from Makerzoid. Using snap-together parts and visual programming through icons you will learn how this fantastic robotics kit works. (You can buy the kit at our booth)

ALLNET is looking forward to welcoming you at stand B.04 and B.03 at Gazometro Ostiense, Oct 25-27
