Education & Schools

An educational-themed area that hosts projects from the world of schools and training. Learn@MFR is a dedicated exhibition section at the fair for education and learning. It features interactive, hands-on activities under the motto “learning by doing.”

Call for Schools

Since its inception in 2013, Maker Faire Rome has provided a platform for the creativity of young people, a true and incredible wealth of our country. It also values the constant commitment and dedication of all teachers who contribute daily to showcasing the talents and qualities of all students through innovative initiatives, projects, and educational programs. Through the Call for Schools, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Merit, we offer schools the opportunity to have a free exhibition space.

“Learn @ MFR” Area

Learn is an entire exhibition section within the fair dedicated to education and learning. It hosts interactive, hands-on activities under the motto “learning by doing”. The activities are divided into four types of interaction: Interactive Installations, Booths, Play (educational workshops), and Live (live performances).

It incorporates AR, VR, and game-based activities with technologies and solutions that focus on learning through direct experiences and primarily digital gaming.

Also this year there will be a broad schedule of workshops and training workshops dedicated to teachers and curated by the partners of the event, as well as the presence of the associations of school leaders, teachers and parents to represent the future of the world of school and training in its entirety.

Educational Visits

Maker Faire Rome is an ideal place for an educational visit. The visit is recommended for students in high schools and for final-year students in middle schools.

Students have the opportunity to experience the future firsthand. The visit is free and particularly recommended on Friday (first day of the event).

Classes can reach the Fiera di Roma using public transportation or private buses.

In September, with the reopening of schools, we will publish the costs, entry methods, and free admission for school groups.
