SensorTile.box: An all-in-one ready-to-use IoT node with out latest MEMS sensors
Do you want to have a small 6 by 4 cm box able to monitor your home’s temperature and humidity? To record surrounding audio or measure vibrations? The SensorTile.box is a ready-to-use box kit with wireless IoT and wearable sensor platform to help you use and develop apps based on remote motion and environmental sensor data, regardless of your level of expertise. In fact, it has three modes: Entry mode, for beginners without any programming experience; Expert mode letting you draw your program flow in graphic mode and, finally, Pro mode where you can have full access to the hardware capabilities in C language. The SensorTile.box board fits into a small plastic box with a long-life rechargeable battery, and the ST BLE Sensor app on your smartphone connects via Bluetooth to the board and allows you to immediately begin using the wide range of pre-loaded IoT and wearable sensor applications.

After starting at ST in 1995 as an analog designer, Luca Fontanella joined the MEMS team in a marketing role and today he is marketing manager in the MEMS Sensor Division. Luca has contributed to more than 25 international patents and frequently speaks at technical conferences worldwide.
