workshop "La Mela Reintegrata" di Pistoletto
Riscarti festival presents the workshop «Mela Reintegrata» of Pistoletto in collaboration with Città dell’arte Fondazione Pistoletto ONLUS.
The workshop is open participation to create a collective artwork. It is a work that is inclusive and symbolic of the whole society, explains Michelangelo Pistoletto, Master of the Arte Povera in Italy. “La “Mela Reintegrata” (The Reintegrated Apple)- the artist emphasizes - represents the epochal passage that world is living at the moment. The artwork today involves each of us and the future of all of us». The apple has the missing bit of the bite sewn together, a sign of a new balance between science and nature.
With the help of some artists, the work is realized outside and during the morning, with the reuse of obsolete materials provided by the organization. With a dynamic activity, students and teachers are the players of the construction of the Big Apple.
As Pistoletto tell “Human history is in the third stage. The first was the natural paradise, when we were inside the apple. With the bite off, we left the nature and enter to the second stage, the artificial paradise”.
Now we have to move on to the third stage, where the artificial and natural are combined with sustainability.
