The PhasmaFOOD project: a portable device to monitor food quality and safety in a non-invasive way

We will presentEU funded PhasmaFOOD project, whose primary goal was to design and implement a multi-target portable system for in-field sensing of food quality. We will describe technical challenges of integration of the physical instrument, the development of a dedicated app and a database, and some results reached so far. The integrated miniaturized PhasmaFOOD system is capable of detecting food hazards, spoilage and food fraud through the combination of spectroscopies and appropriate data analysis.
