AlphaGarden

What is intelligence? AlphaGarden is an ongoing robotic artwork and research project that juxtaposes natural vs. artificial intelligence to invite viewers to reflect on the natural world and our role and place within it.

Ken Goldberg

Ken Goldberg is the William S. Floyd Distinguished Chair in Engineering at UC Berkeley and an award-winning roboticist, filmmaker, artist and popular public speaker on AI and robotics. Ken trains the next generation of researchers and entrepreneurs in his research lab at UC Berkeley; he has published over 300 papers, 3 books, and holds 9 US Patents. Ken’s artwork has been featured in 70 art exhibits including the 2000 Whitney Biennial. He is a pioneer in technology and artistic visual expression, bridging the “two cultures” of art and science. With unique skills in communication and creative problem solving, invention, and thinking on the edge, Ken has presented over 600 invited lectures at events around the world.

Laura Leuzzi

Laura Leuzzi is an art historian, curator and Research Fellow at DJCAD University of Dundee. Author of articles and essays in books and exhibition catalogues, her research is focused on early video art, digital art and activism, European video art histories, reenactment, art and feminism and new media. She is an Associate curator at NEoN Digital Arts Festival. She has curated exhibitions, events and screenings at CCA, Glasgow; The Showroom, London; The Nunnery Gallery, London; MAXXI Museum of the 21st Century Arts, Rome; Walcherturm, Zurich; Horsecross Arts, Perth; The Summerhall, Edinburgh; The Glasgow Women's Library; The Lethaby Gallery, Central St Martin, London. She co-edited the books REWINDItalia Early Video Art in Italy (John Libbey Publishing 2015) and EWVA European Women's Video Art (John Libbey Publishing 2019).
