Superflat Math: a videogame at school! - Matematica Superpiatta: un videogioco a scuola!

Superflat Math is a sandbox videogame from a spin-off of the University of L’Aquila. It is conceived to support children, girls and boys of the primary and middle secondary school to discover Math with fun. The aim of the project is to develop a game-based-learning approach through the integration of videogaming activities, paper and pencil activities, and classroom discussions, in line with modern theories in Mathematics Education. In this talk we will illustrate the main principles underlying the videogame, the didactical methodology as well as the results of the field trials lead by universities and schools.
