Mariano Paternoster

Born in Bari in 1980, Mariano Paternoster studied Electronic Music, Violin, Composition, Music Pedagogy, and Wind Orchestra Conducting, while also earning a degree in Political Science with a specialization in Electronic Music and Multimedia at the Niccolò Piccinni Conservatory of Music in Bari. He works as a composer, with his musical and multimedia works performed in Italy and abroad (USA, Argentina, Serbia, Spain, Japan), collaborating with various artists, technicians, and producers both local and international. His musical works develop the idea of hybridization between languages, with particular attention to the phenomenon of World Music and its technical and aesthetic implications in the contemporary landscape, and are based on the study of polyrhythms constructed on mathematical models. He is the artistic director of the Ridon-dance Cultural Association and Study Center, primarily focused on production and research in the fusion of arts, science, and technology. In 2022, he founded the duo AdMa with Adriana Giannini, dedicated to the conception, research, and production of hybrid art forms to challenge academic boundaries and explore the fusion of languages. With the duo, he creates immersive interactive works that offer reflections on social and psychological contexts.
