The workshop "Financial Literacy Is My Business: Discovering Allegra Finanza," organized by Junior Achievement Italia, is a dynamic and interactive educational experience that guides students through the world of financial education. In an hour and a half, participants are engaged in an adventure with Allegra Finanza, a young software engineer passionate about environmental sustainability, who needs their help to better manage her finances after moving to a new city.

Introduction

Who We Are: The workshop begins with a presentation by JA trainers, explaining the organization's role as a bridge between school and the professional world. JA Italia is a non-profit that offers entrepreneurship and financial education programs in schools, such as “Count on the Future.”

Allegra's Story

   Allegra's New Home: Allegra needs to identify her fixed costs, such as rent and bills, versus her variable costs, such as groceries and movies. Students help Allegra distinguish between these types of expenses through quizzes.

   Allegra's Numbers: Allegra receives a worrying notification from her bank: her account is overdrawn! Students discuss how Allegra can manage her expenses between needs and wants, analyzing how to avoid similar financial issues.

   Important Supports: Allegra helps her friend Felice understand the difference between gross and net salary. Students participate in quizzes to clarify these concepts and learn how they contribute to the country's gross internal welfare.
