SCIENCE SHOTS: SCIENCE IN SMALL DOSES TO HELP YOU SELECT A CAREER PATH - SCIENCE SHOTS: SCIENZA A PICCOLE DOSI PER ORIENTARSI MEGLIO

An event organized by Fondazione Leonardo in collaboration with the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia

Saturday, October 26th, 10:30 AM – Room 21, ISA

Now more than ever, we need to invest in STEM – disciplines related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics – as a life path. Such fields can offer great opportunities for those entering the job market or preparing to do so in the following years, so they will need to be further developed, to help our Country and the entire planet face nowadays’ increasingly complex challenges. During this event, researchers from Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) will present their research activities in robotics, artificial intelligence, new materials, and life science technologies in a simple and engaging way. Students will have the chance to explore possible study paths for pursuing a multidisciplinary and internationally-oriented scientific career, and discover which scientific fields interest them the most and could potentially represent their future. Attendees of the event will have the chance to interact with the young researchers and vote for their favorite one, thus choosing the winner of the competition. The winning title will not be connected to the presenters, but to the profession they represent, and to their ability to captivate the audience the most by using their communication skills.
