Precence and Occupancy Detection - Rilevamento di Presenza e Occupazione
Infrared (TMOS) and proximity (ToF) sensors used in combination reduce false positives and protect privacy in presence and occupancy detection applications. We will show STEVAL-PDETECT1 tool with both sensors, and discuss LoRa and BLE wireless connectivity, and how to enable Energy Harvesting.

Filippo Colaianni
After graduating from the University of Catania (Italy) in 2001 with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and spending five years in digital IC design, Filippo joined STMicroelectronics as a Field Application Engineer for microcontroller and connectivity solutions. Currently, Filippo is the Technical Marketing Manager for the System Research & Applications group, where he is responsible for project management, promotion, and demand creation for IoT, Smart City, Home Building Automation, Smart Agriculture, and Asset Tracking solutions. He is an expert in ARM Cortex-M MCU, MEMS and sensor products, and all the key wired and wireless short and long-range communication protocols.
