Plotter Verticale
My project is a vertical plotter, based on Arduino and Raspberry Pi, carefully calibrated to draw with great precision on very big areas. Its main feature is to be sort of "magical", due to the minimalistic design of the pen holder (just a binder clip, a magnetic weight and a servo motor to lift the pen) and to the remote positioned electronics in respect to the drawing. The pen wobbles a lot as it goes around, but the resulting drawing is pretty accurate thanks to the generous help of the friction in the point of the pen ;-)

Antonio Ianiero (iant), engineer, co-founder of the Unterwelt makerspace in Rome (www.unterwelt.it).
My interests span from Mathemathics to Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, and thanks to Arduino I'm profoundly involved in Electronics and Physical Computing. I do love Poetry, Origami and Soap Bubbles, and I'm the proud father of Irene - a cute little three years old world explorer - whom I hope to teach soon the noble arts of Soldering and Programming.
