Geduino, the Autonomous Social Robot

"A social robot is an autonomous robot that interacts and communicates with humans or other autonomous physical agents by following social behaviors and rules attached to its role."

Geduino is a development platform for Autonomous Social Robot applications designed to be low cost, open source and supported by community.

Robotics is a sexy subject involving maths, computer science, mechanics, electronics and, finally, creativity. Geduino is a chance to experiment, study, create new technology and share all this experience, source code and artifacts between open source community.

Alessandro Francescon

Born in Rome in 1978 he studies Mechanical Engineering at Università degli Studi di Roma Tre. Currently he is working as Embedded Architect at Genius Bytes Software Solutions.

Following his curiosity and open to new technologies he discovers Robotics two years ago and, enthusiastically involved, started the Geduino project.
