Dreamy Baby Prop
We have created a safe, easy, cost effective method for parents to be able to prop/elevate their babies. Parents are currently propping their babies with pillows, rolled blankets and books put under the legs of the cots. This is not a safe practice as research indicates that there’s an increased risk of SIDS with children that have reflux and other conditions.

Killorglin Community College
We are two first year students in Killorglin Community College, Jack Nagle from Ballyfinnane Co. Kerry and Eoghan McKenna from Firies Co. Kerry. We have a keen interest in engineering and technology, and how it is used in to help people in today’s world. We participated in the RDS Primary Science Fair last year with our primary school Firies NS, Firies, Co. Kerry.
The inspiration for our project came from observing the difficulty Jacks parents were faced with at home after the birth of his baby brother Gearóid. Gearóid was born nine months ago in Tralee General Hospital. He was admitted immediately to the special care unit after being born. He was diagnosed with a racing heart beat and silent acid reflux. Jack also suffered from reflux when he was born.
