nEMoS

nEMoS

The project describes an “all-in-one” device, called nano Environmental Monitoring System (nEMoS), aimed at assessing the Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) of buildings. The two main features of nEMoS are its inexpensiveness and the consistency of the detected data. Regarding the former feature only low cost sensors and microcontrollers have been chosen, while with regard to the latter the detected data have been compared with those of typical commercial sensors.

Francesco Salamone: maker and engineer specialized in energy performances of buildings. I collaborate in research activities at the Construction Technologies Institute of the National Research Council of Italy (ITC-CNR). I am interested in the topics of energy efficiency, sustainability and Indoor Environmental Quality, 3D printing, Arduino based projects, photography and, in general, in anything related to technology.
