Design and Development of a Tractor Simulator as Interactive Learning Platform

In this project will be announced the process of design, construction and assembly of a tractor simulator that allows provide training and induction for new operators of these machines, integrating immersive and interactive technologies. In this case, the project is focus on the cultivation of sugar cane process, that currently is carried out manually or with complex equipment and machinery, are involved in their operation and high cost. This platform is looking to provide sugar industry or companies engaged in this productive sector, processes apprentice mode operation and handling a heavy machine such as the tractor; this platform allows recreating environments, situations and very close to what real spaces provides operation.

Cristian Andres Gaitan: Mechatronics Engineer and Magister Candidate in Engineering with emphasis on Mechatronics of the Universidad Autonoma de Occidente of Cali. Currently instructor in Mechatronics area on Centro de Diseño Tecnologico Industrial, CDTI, SENA Regional Valle del Cauca, Cali, and Leader of the Seedbed of Research Integration Technologies Applied to Mechatronics - SIITAM. Interest Projects Working with robotics technologies based on open source and open hardware, as well as projects Applied to Process Automation. Among others , active researcher in Development Projects drone, tractor simulator, printing and 3D virtual immersion systems with application in the field of robotics.
Daniela Echeverri: Product Design Engineer of the Universidad EAFIT of Medellin. Currently instructor in Mechatronics area at Centro de Diseño Tecnológico Industrial, CDTI, SENA Regional Valle del Cauca, Cali, and leader of one of the research lines of the Center's Seedbed of Research SIITAM. Interested in projects with robotics and design development processes with the aim to create innovative mechatronics products. Active researcher in Design and Development Projects about 3D printers, intelligent prosthesis, tractor simulator. Also member of the Formula SENA-ECO crew, with the creation of an Electric Vehicle for competition, involved in the aerodynamics area.
Juan Jose Urazan: Game Developer from Centro de Diseño Tecnologico Industrial, CDTI, SENA. Currently instructor in Digital Comunication area on the Center, and researcher of the Seedbed of Research SIITAM. Interested in projects using inmersive technologies, design and development of characters in videogames, 3D modelling, illustration. Active researcher in tractor simulator, mutimedia projects and interactive runways.
Fernando Franco Zuñiga: Mechanical Engineer and Magister Candidate in Engineering with emphasis on Mechanical Design of the Universidad Autonoma de Occidente of Cali. Currently instructor in Mechatronics area on Centro de Diseño Tecnologico Industrial, CDTI, SENA Regional Valle del Cauca, Cali, and researcher of the Seedbed of Research SIITAM. Interested in projects with mechanical design and finite element analysis. Active researcher in lineal motor project and tractor simulator and sustainable mobility.
