Wiguana
WIGUANA board is a non-invasive, low cost solution for monitoring animals in their natural habitat. This is a multi-disciplinary task that required tight collaboration between several different fields to properly understand the relevant parameters to monitor, how to acquire and communicate the data collected, and, finally, how to apply the device on the animal to avoid disturbing animals' lives and their ecosystem. Moreover, a suitable networking architecture has been devised to retrieve collected data without relying on any telecommunication infrastructure technology such as 3G, which is not usually available in wild environments.
