The first Ferilli eyewear Collection takes his name from Sikalindi (namely prickly pear in Griko dialect), the material that has been used to create the sunglasses. The prickly pear is a fast-growing plant that vegetates and quickly reproduces itself in a spontaneous way, and therefore it is classified as "infesting". The collection is composed by a hundred and twenty pieces divided in three models - San Gregorio, Otranto and Porto Miggiano. Each model tells a story that is expressed by the colours of the lenses.

Cristiano Ferilli, 25 years old
Born in Gagliano del Capo (LE)
Graduated and qualified Optician, graduated in Orthoptics and ophthalmological assistance. Currently I am in the second year of the specialized degree in rehabilitation sciences of the health professions.
Since I was 16 years old, I've been passionate about the world of sunglasses. While participating in international trade fairs, I had the chance to come into contact with many situations. I remember that, wandering around different pavillons and exhibition spaces, I was fascinated and sometimes enchanted by the varieties of shapes, colours, models, lines characterizing the world of sunglasses. From that passion and emotions I came up with the idea of producing my own sunglass collection, something unique that doesn't simply stop to the concept of accessory to be worn, but that marks a person's face.
