LA VITE AEREA DI LEONARDO
On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci, we created an application to measure the lift generated by the rotation of the Leonardo da Vinci aerial screw. The project consists of a scale model of the Aerial Screw made by modelling and 3D printing and laser cutting. For 3D printing, we have used PLA filaments with wood fibres which give the impression that the material is wood.
The screw can rotate at different speeds by a Brushless DC motor controlled by a PIC 18F4580 microcontroller via the ZS-X11A interface. The lift is detected by acquiring the measurement of a suitably conditioned load cell.
The system is completed by a small interface rack with buttons and LCD display.

5ECN Itis Paleocapa Bergamo
We, (my classmate, Vescovi and me) attend the 4ECN of ITIS Paleocapa Bergamo - electronics specialization. We carried out this project (with the help of professors and classmates) to celebrate Leonardo's great inventions and apply them to the microcontroller measurement and control systems that are the subject of our studies
