Laser Engraver
Laser Engraver is a small CNC machine for laser engraving images on wood, plastic, leather and copper boards for PCBs. The machine is equipped with a 2.5W violet laser (450nm). A graphic user interface was created with LabView in order to control and debug the machine. The GUI allows you to load the desired image, launch the "print", view the percentage of performed work and check the temperature of the stepper motor drivers. The laser engraver can also be used in manual mode, controlling the X and Y axes through an arcade joystick. To guarantee the safety of the operator, the machine is equipped with visual safety devices ("traffic" lights), sound devices (siren) and tactile devices (emergency buttons). The structure of the laser engraver is made with materials that are easily available in DIY hardware stores and 3D printed parts. Even the electronics have been made with easily available components.
