Make to Care è nato nel 2016 proprio dalla collaborazione con Maker Faire Rome che da subito ha accolto con entusiasmo la nostra volontà di raccogliere idee che potessero migliorare il quotidiano di chi con coraggio affronta una qualche forma di disabilità. Idee che nascono fuori dai contesti classici dell’innovazione. Negli anni, insieme, abbiamo raccolto centinaia di progetti e prototipi, abbiamo dato voce a spunti davvero rivoluzionari, intercettando, mappando e alimentando l’ecosistema della Patient-driven-Innovation.

AURORIS, meglio della mamma a trovare le cose / AURORIS, better than mom at finding things
AURORIS aims at inventorying and locating things or people a centimeter accuracy and in real time. The solution consists in equipping each object to be inventoried and located with a passive UHF-RFID tag. These labels can be identified by an RFID reader connected to an antenna because they have a unique identifier. An RFID reader on board of a robot receives data from some tags placed in the environment in known positions and used for the self-localization. Once the robot has obtained its own position, it exploits it to identify and locate with high accuracy the "tagged" products.

Andrea Motroni received the B.E., M.E. (summa cum laude), in telecommunications engineering from the University of Pisa, Pisa, Italy, in 2015 and 2017, respectively. Since 2017 he is attending the Ph.D. degree in Information Engineering at the University of Pisa. His current research interests include the study of radiowave-based, especially UHF-RFID phase-based, indoor localization systems, passive RFID sensing and RFID applications for Internet of Things. Since 2016 he works in the field of scientific divulgation events.
Fabio Bernardini received the B.E., M.E. (summa cum laude), in telecommunications engineering from the University of Pisa, Pisa, Italy, in 2016 and 2018, respectively. Since 2018 he is attending the Ph.D. degree in Information Engineering at the University of Pisa. His current research interests include the study of radiowave-based, especially UHF-RFID phase-based, indoor localization systems, passive RFID sensing and RFID applications for Internet of Things. Others interests are about antenna theory and electromagnetic compability and algorithms.
