FREEDOM is a new-born Italian project which aims to collect Earth’s data from the space and make them available in real time thanks to a small outlay. The data are going to be stored inside an online database and our customers can have access to them, choosing among different options. In the first design phase, we are also opened to embed useful payload to our satellite, so that you and your company can have your own personal remote sensing system and collect the data you need most. Because of the limited space onboard of the satellite (which is a 6U Cubesat), this option is going to be available only for a closed number of investors (we will inform you if your system/sensor has been selected for the mission). We also consider any system or sensor which is not meant for Earth observation, but for general purpose, like space and microgravity experiments or deep space observation. Currently, the payload is essentially consisting of various range spectrometers and some cameras. The launch is expected for the year 2021, and the satellite final trajectory is a polar Elio synchronous orbit.
