The activity consists in the use of pressure sensors applied to a seat for agricultural tractor cabins. The project is realized by CREA-IT. The acquisition system, consisting of two mats with more than 1000 sensors, allows to have a map of the pressures exerted by the operator's body on the seat and on the seat backrest.
It is currently used in experimental projects to assess seat comfort, both in the diagnostic and design phases. The false color map obtained in real time from the sensors and projected to a screen, allows the interception of areas of the body that receive excessive pressures or whose pressures persist for prolonged times.
