Dall’eccellenza all’impresa
The project has the objective to promote a selection of patents belonging to the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna portfolio. In addition, networking activities are planned with startup and companies interested to specific patents, and / or to the underpinning technology and research. The aim is to improve competitiveness strategies, enhance technology and production assets.
Patents identified for Maker Faire Rome 2020 event have been chosen to highligth research excellence within the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, focusing on their feaseable applications in the digital technology under the Industry 4.0.
Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna
Dr. Luciana Gualdi is a Research Fellow in the field of Innovation at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa, where she covers aspects associated to research and enterprise networking, and scouting of funding opportunities. She worked as Project Manager and Interim Regional Manager at EIT Health Innostars for Southern Europe, promoting innovation in healthcare via business, education, and research projects for innovators. She obtained a PhD in Medical Biotechnology at the University of Siena.
Dr. Serafina Consuelo Garcea is a Research Fellow in the field of Intellectual Property (IP) and Innovation at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa, where she covers aspects related to IP and technology transfer. Previously Research Associate in the School of Materials at the Henry Moseley X-ray Imaging Facility, University of Manchester (UK). Her research focused on the time-lapse investigation of damage in composites for aerospace applications by using laboratory and synchrotron X-ray computed tomography. She obtained a PhD in Materials Science at the University of Southampton (UK).
