It's addressed to students, teachers, startups and spinoffs having specific features and it offers them not only team working and prototype creation but also training and support.
At the Makerspace - prototyping laboratory - you can create and test prototypes of innovative products, with the support of specialised technical staff who help you to use cutting-edge materials and machinery, including 3D printers, laser cutters, milling machines, thermoforming systems and woodworking tools.
Almalabor also provided equipped spaces for co-working, with work stations, meeting rooms and Wi-Fi connection.
The area also hosts training programmes, awareness and mentoring events aimed at supporting the start of innovative projects and structuring business ideas before presenting them on the market.

The University of Bologna, the oldest university in the Western world, promotes the innovation through a richer and richer teaching activity, a more and more cutting-edge research, a wide and ongoing international opening, a strong vocation for the third mission.
Its a multi-campus university because it has 5 branches in the Emilia Romagna area (Bologna, Cesena, Forl, Ravenna e Rimini) and 1 in Buenos Aires.
In the field of Third Mission, it runs the activities connected to the valorisation of the scientific research results and of the knowledges raised from the academic courses by creating relationships with entreprises aimed at developing the strategic target of the University. It also helps the development of new entrepreneurial ideas thanks to ALMALABOR as well, a digital makerspace for prototyping and a co-working space open to education and contamination of knowledges which is addressed to the whole student and research community.
