M3D - Stampante 3D professionale ecosostenibile
Nowadays 3D printers have become some of the most useful and versatile tools used in many fields, ranging from engineering to medicine, etc. Our project is not just any old 3D printer though: we built it ourselves using recycled materials (such as the wood that makes up the main structure and the power supply taken from a video game console). One of our main goals was to aim for maximum precision, and we achieved this by using stepper motors in conjunction with metal threaded rods in order to produce incredibly precise objects with layers thinner than a micron.
Perotto Davide, Serra Enrico e Matteo Burzio della 4A Sc, Liceo A. Monti di Chieri (TO)
Hello everyone, we are a trio of high school students that share a deep passion for engineering and everything that has to do with STEM. Our names are Davide Perotto, Enrico Serra and Matteo Burzio. Davide is the youngest but also the brightest: he is definitely the person that has put in the most effort in this project by fully designing it. Enrico is very versatile: he had to learn coding by himself in order to write programs for the printer. Last but not least, Matteo helped with the more practical side of things and any odd job that had to be done.
