STEM learning and Environment Monitoring

STEM learning and Environment Monitoring

STEM learning needs strong motivations, preferably if these have socially useful implications; the role of citizens in the surveillance of the water and air environment in order to detect episodes of heavy pollution is one of these. Citizen Science oriented to environmental surveillance requires low-cost and open source instrumentation. Makers, with the technology available today, can do a lot to achieve this goal, building measurement tools and participating in training.
