Spectrafood - Integrated portable device for non destructive food quality analysis by light

Spectrafood - Integrated portable device for non destructive food quality analysis by light

The SpectraFood project involves the creation of a portable device that integrates multimodal spectroscopies (fluorescence spectroscopy, diffused reflectance in the visible range and near-infrared) for the measurement of several parameters essential to the characterization of the quality of food raw materials. Two cases of interest in the Lazio agro-food chain: 1) detection of chlorinated residues by nanoparticle amplified fluorescence spectroscopy; 2) evaluation of protein and moisture content within grains and flours. We are looking for new applications from agrifood producers: join us to test the prototype and find together new ideas
