R&D BIOREFINERY PROJECT: AGROINDUSTRIAL PLATFORMS
R&D BIOREFINERY PROJECT has as main goal the validation of novel circular bioeconomy models based on the use of renewable resources to produce bio-based products which can be used to substitute those derived from fossil resources. The project responds to the need for innovation of the industrial field in different areas, such as pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, agri-food and environmental. The visitor will be guided through a knowledge path in the subject of biotechnology and bioeconomy with raising of awareness towards sustainability intended as a lifestyle to allow the transition of waste to resource.
ISABELLA PISANO, ANTONINO BIUNDO
Isabella Pisano, researcher at University of Bari, with experience of more 10 years in field of industrial biotechnology and in particular microbial biotechnology. She is mentor and member of several enterprises and startup of biotech sector.
Antonino Biundo, post doc at University of Bari, and co-founder and CEO of REWOW srl, a startup which uses waste cooking oils as resource for an innovative process in order to produce bio-based products. He is expert in field of chemo-enzymatic trasformations to develope new models of circular economy.
