Il Team H2politO e IDRAkronos: la mobilità di domani, oggi
Team H2politO is a student team from the Politecnico di Torino that has been designing competition vehicles for the Shell Eco-marathon since 2008.
IDRAkronos, Prototype category, designed in 2016, is powered by a brushed electric motor powered by a hydrogen fuel cell and the chassis is a self-supporting body made of carbon fiber and light alloys. These features allowed during the 2019 competition to set our new consumption record: 1058 km/Nm3 of hydrogen, which corresponds to 3445 km/L of petrol.
Team H2politO
Every year, around 100 students work together for the competition, firmly believing in a model of sustainable development, characterised by alternative fuels, such as hydrogen and bioethanol, innovative materials, such as composites and light alloys, and innovative solutions, such as autonomous driving. The educational and stimulating experience is a way to test oneself with new technologies, playing an active role in the ongoing innovation process in the mobility sector.
