Prof. Gianfranco Romanazzi got Degree �cum laude� in Agricultural Sciences in 1995 and PhD in Crop Protection in 1999 at the University of Bari. He joined Marche Polytechnic University in Ancona in 2001, where he is professor of Plant pathology and chairs the BSc in Agricultural Science and Technology and MSc in Land and Agricultural Technology programs. He coordinates several projects, including PRIMA StopMedWaste and Euphresco BasicS, and research activity focuses on alternatives to synthetic fungicides for pre and postharvest disease management. Since June 2020, he is President of the Italian Association for Plant Protection (AIPP).

Prof. Antonio Ippolito - Full professor in Plant Pathology, Coordinator of the PhD in �Biodiversity, Agriculture and Environment� and member of the Excellence Centre �Compared Genomics in Biomedical and Agricultural Issues�. His scientific activity is documented by more than 400 publications regarding aspects of Plant Pathology in Mediterranean crops. For over 30 years he has been conducting research on alternative means to control postharvest decay of fresh fruit and vegetables. In 2015 he has been Convener of the �III International Symposium on Postharvest Pathology�. He has been Chair of the international Workgroup �Biological Control of Postharvest Diseases�.

Prof. Davide Spadaro - Full Professor at University of Torino (Italy) and Researcher at AGROINNOVA on pre- and post-harvest diseases of fruit crops, on mycotoxins and mycotoxigenic fungi, and on molecular diagnostics. Visiting at Thammasat University, University of Edinburgh, University of Lleida, University of Bonn. Secretary of SMC Postharvest of International Society of Plant Pathology. Member of the Academy of Agriculture of Torino. Worked on several European and national projects. 126 papers, over 3500 citations, H-index 31 on Scopus.
