SPlastica: la nuova generazione di bioplastiche!
Worldwide 380 million tons of plastic are produced every year, SPlastica offers an innovative technology to transform not edible milk into bioplastic, through an economically and environmentally sustainable synthesis. SPlastica products are made from natural biopolymers, in accordance with the new EU2019/904 directive on the single-use plastics ban. They are 100% biodegradable and compostable at room temperature, they dissolve in sea water in about 60 days and have high stability and resistance to temperature.
Emanuela Gatto, Raffaella Lettieri, Valentina Armuzza
Emanuela Gatto is researcher of the Department of Chemical Sciences and Technologies of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, in SPlastica she is the CEO, she also deals with the identification, writing and coordination of projects.
Raffaella Lettieri is specialized in the chemical-physical characterization of biological macromolecules with potential applications in the medical and environmental fields, in SPlastica she is project and lab manager.
Valentina Armuzza is specialized in green organic synthesis and carbon nanomaterials, in SPlastica she takes care of the communication.
