THE CORRUPTED BODY
A reflection on the new perspectives of man-machine connections. Steel Robocop, or very sinuous "I, Robot" replicants, what will robots look like? Will these biomachines undergo everything that the human body undergoes with the passing of age, namely the decay of the human parts? Will there be spare parts, replacement components? The inescapable fate of putrefaction cannot be avoided. From these reasonings the spare parts of THE CORRUPTED BODY are born, pieces of bodies animated with microprocessors (e.g. Arduino) and covered with leather and biological fabrics.

Founder of the Fab Lab Olbia and Fab Lab Oristano, project manager and creator of MAKER ISLAND, the first maker faire in Sardinia, graduated from the Fab Academy.
Arch. Selenia Marinelli
Ph.D, studies how the introduction of the biotechnological paradigm in the design field can have an influence on the construction of new habitats of co-existence between biological and anthropic systems to rethink architecture as a place of hybridization between organic and inorganic matter oriented towards bio-fabrication.
