Efflics: Eco-Friendly Fluidics for Fluid Power
EFFLICS aims to develop new design methodologies of fluid machines and hydraulic components, using eco-friendly fluids, to be used in power transmissions. In addition to new design methodologies of volumetric machines, Efflics foresees the development of innovative surfaces with high affinity to eco-friendly lubricating fluids, and of an electronic nose to determine the aging state of the fluids. The project is co-financed by POR FESR Emilia-Romagna 2014-2020 and Fondo per lo Sviluppo e la Coesione, and involves 4 research laboratories and 3 companies as industrial partner.
Prof. Michele Pinelli
Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bologna in 1997, PhD in 2001. Full Professor of Fluid Machines at the Department of Engineering, University of Ferrara and lecturer in Measurement Techniques and Fluid Dynamic Design of Turbomachines. He is the Vice-Chancellor of the Third Mission. He has published over 230 scientific articles, mainly in international journals. Coordinator of the Cento branch of the Mechlav Laboratory of Ferrara, with which he has entered into numerous research agreements with national and international industries and research centres.
