Progettazione digitale e costruzione di strutture ad origami

Progettazione digitale e costruzione di strutture ad origami

Passionately dealing with the overarching goal of sustainability in the construction sector, the multidisciplinary project Lasercut
origami structures combines the structural capabilities of origami with innovative digital processes for design and fabrication:
origami, exploiting resistance by shape, allows efficient structures to be realized with minimal material input, while digital
technologies support practices of self-production and widespread production ('file to factory'). In continuity with the experience
of Maker Faire 2021 - where the public particularly appreciated the exhibited prototypes - the proposal demonstrates current
developments in the project, with reference to flexible curved panel structures entirely manufactured by laser cutting.
