Girasole: Sensing in Farming
Girasole is the first mesh sensory network that uses Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence algorithms for precision agriculture, fire prevention and to improve animal welfare.
The Girasole network is made up of a hardware part consisting of sensors that can be modularly inserted inside it, wireless connectivity to cover distances greater than 50km, a photovoltaic panel and a battery (Place and Forget).
The second part is the cloud that collects and processes data with ML and AI and makes them accessible to users through an App.
Mario Soranno
Mario Soranno has a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering - Electronic Curriculum. He is an expert in electronic and software design. He develops applications in Linux environment, in ROS environment, and knows 3D modeling. He invented a patented algorithm for autonomous navigation in agriculture.
