What we already thought would be a fun trip turned out to be so much more: the love and enthusiasm of the exhibitors, attendees and Maker Faire Rome’s team for innovation, education, and general celebration of the maker movement was awe-inspiring. There is so much to see that a single year in attendance is not enough, so if you ever get the opportunity, head to this show, soak in the sea of inventions, and make some great friends along the way.

PEDRO the robot built with recycled materials!
PE-D-RO (PErsonal-Domotic-RObot) is a Multirole Personal Home Automation Robot platform designed to be built at home with recycled materials and with self-made tools such as the bending machine for plexiglass sheets, part of the project. PE-D-RO can be integrated into your home automation network and can provide environmental and telemetry data in real time, which can also be consulted remotely. Its concept is modular and expandable, it can easily mount robotic arms or turrets equipped with cameras and SLAM sensors, environmental sensors to detect gas, pressure, temperature, humidity.
