Feed srl would like to present different software and hardware innovations developed for agriculture 4.0.
The software and hardware innovations manage the agri-food chain process by using cloud platform and IOT technologies.
This platform collects and recovers data through these technologies and it can be easily displayed on computers and phone devices which permit the users to make quick and efficient decisions.
Today these innovations are used in the following steps:

• Tree and herbaceous crops production: production data are continually collected during all cultural activities; at the same time the sensors collected the environmental data. These modern techniques, which follow the whole agricultural process, enable the farmers to:
  o spare water: modern irrigation systems provide water only when crops need.
  o Reduce the use of fertilizers and pesticides by making use of them when crops really need in order to reduce the risk of leaching, run off and emission;
  o Reduce agricultural inputs to avoid pollution risks to the environment;
  o Decrease the soil erosion with minimum tillage technique;
  o Improve production quality and increase the profit.


• Nursery productions: the monitoring of the environmental factors and the plant growth substrates helps the farmers with the management of the seed drill machine and irrigation system.


• Harvest and transport: the monitoring of climatic parameters during handling and transport steps improves the quality and increases the shelf life. This technology can improve the production process and the quality of the processed food product of the food industries.
