Di Girolamo Sara farm would like to propose several software and hardware innovations used in its farm.
The software and hardware innovations manage the agri-food chain process by using cloud platform and IOT technologies.
This platform collects and recovers data through these technologies and it can be easily displayed on computers and phone devices which permit users and farm machines to make quicker and more efficient decisions.
Di Girolamo Sara farm uses these innovations to grow vegetable and to collect data during all producing process, including the environmental data, collected by sensors.
The management of these Innovative technologies allows Di Girolamo Sara farm to:



  • spare water: modern irrigation systems provide water only when crops need.

  • Reduce the use of fertilizers and pesticides by making use of them when crops really need in order to reduce the risk of leaching, run off and emission;

  • Reduce agricultural inputs to avoid pollution risks to the environment;

  • Decrease the soil erosion with minimum tillage technique;

  • Improve production quality and increase the profit.

Azienda agricola DI GIROLAMO SARA

DI GIROLAMO SARA farm was founded in Agro-pontino area in 2017. Families company has more than ten years of farming experience. This farm produces biologic vegetables in greenhouses and in open fields protected by nets. Recently the company has started the production of vegetable seedlings. All companys production is sold in the Italian and European markets.
This farm strongly respects environment resources. Since farm birth, it has always adopted more efficient and smart choices, so the farm collects rainwater in order to use it resource during cultivation.
During the years, this approach, based on the environment respect, leads the farm to use insects, fungi and bacteria against the pest.
