Participating in Maker Faire Rome 2023 was a rewarding experience for Team HULKs. Collaborating with fellow robotics enthusiasts and showcasing our soccer-playing robots allowed us to exchange ideas and explore the latest advancements in the field. Maker Faire serves as a valuable platform for us to share our passion for robotics and engage with a diverse community of makers. We look forward to future Maker Faire events as opportunities to continue learning and innovating in the realm of humanoid robotics.

Biofilm Susceptibility Test (BeST).
The Biofilm Susceptibility Test (BeST) is crucial in healthcare. It analyzes biofilm-forming bacteria, which have enhanced antibiotic resistance, leading to persistent, hard-to-treat infections. BeST not only tests classic antimicrobials but can also test new compounds supporting in the select of effective treatments, reducing recovery time and complications. It promotes appropriate antibiotic use, curtailing resistance development. BeST is essential for addressing medical device-related infections, often linked to biofilm bacteria, guiding a targeted therapeutic approach.
E.G. Di Domenico, L. Toma, F. Ensoli
Enea G. Di Domenico is an assistant professor in Microbiology at Sapienza University in Rome. His research focuses on chronic biofilm-related infections, antibiotic resistance, and skin microbiota in dermatological diseases.
Luigi Toma is an infectious disease specialist at the Istituti Fisioterapici Ospitalieri (IFO) with over 20 years of experience in infectious diseases. He held various roles globally, including as a WHO Medical Consultant.
Fabrizio Ensoli, a distinguished virologist, worked at the National AIDS Center at ISS, focusing on HIV pathogenesis and AIDS vaccines. He was the head of the Microbiology and Virology laboratory at S. Gallicano Institute until 2021.
