Pollen Sprayer
The Pollen Sprayer is a particular electronic tank, equipped with nebulizers, which allows you to carry out the artificial pollination of plants with the aid of a drone. Designed for the pistachio plant, it can be used for any fruit tree in order to improve fruit setting and increase production. What makes the Pollen Sprayer unique is the fact that it can be adapted to any drone. In fact, given the high cost, the purchase of specific agricultural drones is not accessible to everyone.
Il Frastuca Team composto da: Mattia Azzarello, Andrea Guarnera, Salvatore Papotto e Maurizio Parasiliti.
The Frastuca Team, so called because Frastuca is the name in the Sicilian dialect of the Pistachio (deriving from the Arabic term frastuch), made up of four students who attend the Liceo Scientifico “Ven. I. Capizzi” of Bronte (CT) who undertake a project designed to improve the production of pistachio, the fruit on which the economy of our country is based. We have therefore decided to introduce the practice of artificial pollination, still unused in our areas, which following a careful study turns out to be the most sustainable and effective for the purpose of increasing yield.
