Maker Faire Rome has always been one of my favorite shows. It brings makers, hobbyists and enthusiasts of all ages and genres together in one place. The ability to show the newest technology and the coolest STEM products is something that can’t be done to this caliber anywhere else. We at DigiKey are lucky to be a part of this great maker event.

PC Fisso Portatile - Portable Desktop
Our project consists in changing the common use of a desktop, allowing you to carry it wherever you want with the comfort of a simple backpack.
It consists precisely in mounting the hardware on a wooden fiber structure which in turn fits into a specially modified backpack to allow the use of peripherals, an integrated display with stereo sound system and which guarantees adequate cooling. In addition, thanks to a battery we were able to guarantee a desktop computer an autonomy and much greater than a laptop, of 50 hours.

We are two friends and former students of electronics at the Salesians of Sesto with crazy ideas with which we try to help others thanks to innovative inventions that require skills of all kinds, from carpentry to tailoring, including addressing techniques.
The first and second prototypes of this project were made with desktop components found in landfills (to save money and concentrate expenses on other aspects), this to enhance the concept that if something is old it doesn't necessarily have to be thrown away.
