V-RAPTOR monopattino trazione integrale per l'off road
The electric scooter is characterized by a choice of materials such as aluminum and steel, which guarantee sturdiness, maneuverability and sustainability. Its structure allows easy replacement of components in case of need. The students integrated adjustable suspension to ensure a comfortable ride. It is powered by two high-efficiency 350 W electric motors. The students used knowledge of electronics to implement an advanced control, which allows speed and acceleration to be regulated precisely and safely. The scooter will be equipped with a kinetic energy recovery system during braking.
V-RAPTOR TEAM
The V-Raptor project was born in the school laboratories of the IIS G. Vallauri in Fossano with the aim of self-building an electric scooter with two driving wheels; the starting point is a disused overboard purchased with a modest economic investment. The idea took shape thanks to the passion and determination of a group of students in the fourth and fifth classes of the Mechanics, Mechatronics and Energy course.
Armed with mechanical and computer knowledge and a good dose of inventiveness, they started designing and building their own scooter. The school laboratories have been the beating heart of this project, providing a space for experimentation and practice.
