Videogiochi: intrattenimento, ma non solo
Video Game industry turns over about 200 billions of dollars globally. Video games are not only an interactive medium for entertainment anymore: video game technolgies and competencies are now part of business, industrial, and educational ecosystems. In its 20th anniversary, AIV will join the Maker Faire to talk about the huge potentialities and impact that video games have socially, professionally and economically. AIV will bring a full-packed area with a game jam, live demo of softwares, and hands-on of video games developed by its alumni and current best students.
Accademia Italiana Videogiochi
Funded in 2004, the Italian Academy of Video Games (AIV) is the first educational center in Italy where video games enthusiasts, both as an expression of art and entertainment, can start their career path as game developers, work in a creative and flexible environment, and acquire skills and competencies in line with the current standards and pipeline of the industry.
In 2005, AIV became an Italian Excellence according to the Report by the Ministry for Innovation and Technolgies and got the attention of the main Italian media press agencies.
AIV currently has offices in Rome and Milan where offers onsite and online courses in Video Game Programming, Video Game 3D Art, Game Design, Narrative Design, Character Animation, Strategic Writing and Applied & Interactive Music.
In 2023, AIV was officially acknwoledged by Epic Games as a UATC, Unreal Authorized Training Center.
