VALSARE
The VALSARE project - Fight against climate change in the olive production chain through the enhancement of pomace and pruning residues aims to develop solutions to increase the profitability and sustainability of the olive grove, through the management of by-products of the olive-oil chain such as pruning residues and olive pomace. In this way, through process and product innovation, a critical point, such as the disposal of by-products and waste from the olive supply chain, will be transformed into a strength.
The support activity for this pilot project is financed by sub-measure 16.2.1 of the RDP Lazio 2014-2020 within the framework of Regulation (EU) No 1305/2013 and subsequent amendments and integrations.
GRUPPO OPERATIVO VALSARE
The project leader is Op Latium, a supply chain organization of olive oil producers in Lazio. The University of Tuscia is a partner as a public research organisation, while CITY-NET is a partner as a private technological research organization. Several olive oil producers also participate in the Operational Group.
