VeloLove organizes and promotes events mainly dedicated to the protection of cultural heritage, to the valorisation and better use of the territory by citizens and tourists, and to active mobility on an urban scale, i.e. the promotion of walking and cycling.
VeloLove is the leading association of the GRAB-Grande Raccordo Anulare delle Bici di Roma project, 45 km of cycle and pedestrian routes whose construction was financed by the State with funds allocated to the National System of Tourist Cycle Routes.
VeloLove conceived and organized all the editions of Appia Day from 2016 to 2023. Overall, almost 200 thousand people on foot and by bike took part in the scheduled events: free guided tours of the monuments and symbolic places of the Appia Antica, historical lessons held by expert and qualified narrators, walks and trekking, outdoor musical events, bike tours to discover the beauties of the Appia Antica.
The financial means for carrying out the activities have so far been raised through members' subscription fees, donations and crowdfunding activities.
Velolove carries out its main activities in collaboration with Legambiente, Touring Club, and numerous other associations to achieve the indicated objectives.
