What is the context of your innovation?
If it is true that in the near future a large number of people will be able to go to the Moon or Mars, future human space explorations will require the production of fresh food during missions; the possibility of growing plants in space has a positive impact on both the astronauts' diet and psychological well-being.

What is your project about?
Hydroponic (soilless) cultivation in sterile, airtight, computerized greenhouses enables the production of high-quality food in space, allowing the supplementation of astronauts' diets with fresh, highly nutritious foods providing greater nutrition and variety.

What are the next steps?
Fully functional and tested demonstrator for numerous and heterogeneous types of vegetables. In our plans for 2024 we have a redesign to create a line of hydroponic electromagnetic appliances specifically conceived and designed as essential furnishing elements for the home.
