Make to Care è nato nel 2016 proprio dalla collaborazione con Maker Faire Rome che da subito ha accolto con entusiasmo la nostra volontà di raccogliere idee che potessero migliorare il quotidiano di chi con coraggio affronta una qualche forma di disabilità. Idee che nascono fuori dai contesti classici dell’innovazione. Negli anni, insieme, abbiamo raccolto centinaia di progetti e prototipi, abbiamo dato voce a spunti davvero rivoluzionari, intercettando, mappando e alimentando l’ecosistema della Patient-driven-Innovation.

FonchSat: satellite per il monitoraggio ambientale
What is the context of your innovation?
It is useful for analyzing air quality and is aimed at private individuals or entities involved in environmental monitoring. The strong point lies in the sensors capable of detecting emerging pollutants through particular filters developed by us. The possibility of mobile use makes it suitable for analyzes in critical places and situations.
What is your project about?
The CanSat is equipped with innovative sensors designed by us, based on magnetic nanoparticles, capable of detecting the presence of microplastics, PFAS and benzene elements in the air. These characteristics make it useful above all for emergency use, combined with a drone, in public health and civil protection areas.
What are the next steps?
The project is working and tested. The current plan is to continue with the miniaturization and integration of other sensors, such as for example. a radioactivity detector, always with a view to carrying out rapid analyzes in difficult situations or in the event of disasters, allowing even the smallest drones to transport it.
