What is the context of your innovation?
The project fits into the field of medical design. The shape of the speculum allows you to open the vagina and access the cervix. The proposed innovation focuses precisely on functional needs by integrating aspects that concern female anatomy and usability for the doctor.

What is your project about?
The sinuous design and simple mechanism characterize the innovative device. The curvilinear lines allow you to use the speculum, drastically reducing perceived pain, while maintaining the required visibility. The reassuring aspect of the speculum modifies the visual perception and consequently the emotional state of the woman.

What are the next steps?
The project has been the subject of a European-wide patent and design filing. A prototype of the project was also created.
