ARGUS. Smart Monitoring of Cultural Treasures
What is the context of your innovation?
The ARGUS project applies to the conservation of remote heritage sites, threatened by environmental and anthropogenic factors. Aimed at researchers, conservators and local communities, it uses digital models, sensors and AI. Current solutions are often ineffective and not scalable. ARGUS offers non-destructive and intelligent monitoring
What is your project about?
ARGUS has innovated remote cultural heritage preservation using digital models, sensor drones, and AI for advanced monitoring. We are improving existing techniques by making them more effective and scalable. The project collects multimodal data to analyze and prevent damage, also involving local communities.
What are the next steps?
The project started in December 2023 and will last three years. We are in the intermediate phase of development, testing technologies and collecting data for future analysis. We will implement and test the technologies in various at-risk sites in Spain, Italy, Switzerland and Greece.
